Event Marketing

Toronto School of Management

I had the opportunity to coordinate both in-person and online events at TSOM, an experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow as an event marketer. This role gave me the chance to take on tasks I hadn't handle before, and I was excited to step up and learn new skills along the way. The most rewarding part of each event for me wasn't just seeing everything go smoothly (though that's always a win), but also seeing the smiles on people's faces and knowing I helped create lasting memories.

My responsibilities included:

  • Event Planning: Collaborated with my manager to develop event concepts and strategies, ensuring each event aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Email Marketing: Designed and sent email invitations to prospects using Pardot, optimizing outreach efforts and ensuring high engagement.

  • Presentation Design: Helped prepare and design PowerPoint presentations for events, ensuring they were visually appealing and aligned with the event's theme.

  • Project Management: Partnered with the Social Media team to announce events across platforms. Managed event timelines, budgets, and checklists to ensure seamless execution.

  • Primary Communication Point: Served as the main liaison between the marketing team and panelists, addressing challenges, facilitating communication, and ensuring a seamless event experience.

  • Logistics: For in-person events, I was responsible for preparing gift bags, setting up tables, banners, signage, and TV screens, ensuring every detail was accounted for.

  • Training: For online events, I provided training to panelists on how to effectively use the company's platform, ensuring a smooth virtual experience.

  • Post-Event Analysis: Collected feedback, analyzed event performance, and provided recommendations for future improvements to enhance overall effectiveness.
